We have developed the most powerful notebook computer ever produced using technology from Sun Microsystems, Inc. The company's new Ultra-NoteStation 777S is the world's first and only notebook computer powered by Sun's UltraSPARCR IIe microprocessor. It runs the Solaris? 8 operating environment - which brings GUI user-friendliness to the UNIXR operating system. The 777S introduces new lows in size, weight, power consumption, and cost to the SPARC computer systems market and extends the benefits of mobile computing to Sun's user base.
Starting with a 15-inch LCD display, the 777S includes all of the necessary I/O interfaces such as USB, serial port, VGA output and Ethernet. Its all-in-one design includes an 8X DVD-ROM drive, floppy disk drive and up to two hard disk drives. The lithum ion battery provides up to 4 hours battery life. Audio and video are also standard features providing CD-quality 16-bit audio and 24-bit color depth .
